Edinburgh’s Leading Conservatory Installers
A new conservatory brings many benefits to householders who invest in having one added to their home. At Homeshield, we believe the true value of our service comes from helping our customers achieve the vision they have for their homes. Our expert team will talk you through the entire process, making suggestions on how to achieve the best conservatory for your home.
Livinroof & Ultraroof
Homeshield has two roof solutions that can transform your conservatory to give you a range of benefits that other conservatories do not.
Livinroof
This roofing system has a variety of customisable options. It can either be a full solid roof or incorporate a large amount of glazed panels. Glazed panels allow you to fully use the natural light that many conservatories exist to benefit from, as well as having a lot of style. At Homeshield, bespoke designs are our highest priority.
Ultraroof
This is an advanced type of roof for the conservatory. It emphasises the power of authentic tile finishes and boasts options for capping or fascia boards. These styles are becoming more popular with homeowners due to the high levels of energy efficiency and style that they offer. The fresh style of your Ultraroof Conservatory will be the envy of your neighbourhood.

Conservatories in Edinburgh - FAQs
Questions often answered by our loyal customer base in Edinburgh
Why is a conservatory such a great option for properties in Edinburgh?
There are many reasons to get a conservatory in Edinburgh. Our conservatories come with quality glazing options that can help not only retain the heat of your conservatory but your entire home. Increasing energy efficiency in the home is one of the most important things to do as far as home improvements.
- Practical Use of the Garden
- An expansion to possible living space
- Conservatories add massive value to your home
- Connection between your Edinburgh home and nature.
- Beautification of your home.
- Increased level of Security.
It’s worth keeping in mind that conservatories in Edinburgh will highly benefit from the insulation options provided by Homeshield Scotland.
How do I add more privacy to my conservatory?
Homeshield’s primary concern when it comes to installation is to meet the exact vision you have in mind for your conservatory. So if you want a much more private conservatory, there are a lot of options to choose from.
We can offer both frosted and tinted glass options to add both style and privacy to your windows. This will make it easy to see outside the conservatory, but harder to look inside.
Outside of our services are a couple of other options – such as curtains. Having curtains allows you to block the view from the outside entirely, in exchange for not being able to see the outside yourself. This problem is lessened if you have an option like the Livinroof, which allows for glass panes to be installed in the ceiling, but only if your main concern is natural light.
Another way to enjoy your garden without having to block the view of your Edinburgh outdoors is to add greenery to your garden and conservatory. This makes it harder to see what’s going on inside the conservatory, despite not being a fully efficient setup.
Condensation is bad within my existing conservatory, what can I do?
Condensation happens when moist, hot air meets a cold surface. Getting rid of it is important because moisture can form a lot of bad allergens that can worsen your health, or trigger health problems in those with respiratory problems.
There are many proven solutions to getting rid of it. For example: ventilation. By venting the hot air within your conservatory, you remove one of the two primary catalysts for condensation. Dehumidifiers are also a good idea. With these, you can eliminate the moisture in the air whilst retaining the heat, allowing you to enjoy the warmth without risking your health.
If condensation is fogging up your windows specifically, then it may be time to upgrade your windows, perhaps with the addition of new double or triple glazing. The insulation that glazing provides makes it so that the windows themselves become less cold. As a result, the hot air wouldn’t be meeting a cold surface, but one that is at least warm.
It is worth remembering that conservatories do have a limited lifespan, so if yours is a particularly old one, perhaps it is time for an upgrade or replacement conservatory.
