Why Should I Make the Switch?
The UK Government initially planned to ban the installation of gas boilers in new builds by 2025 and ban the sale of gas boilers to existing homes by 2030. The decision was reversed in September 2023.
Instead, the government now aims to phase out 80% of the UK’s gas boilers by 2035.
The Scottish Government has introduced a series of grants and loans aimed to help meet this target.
At Homeshield we can help you access the funding that is available offering you the chance of reducing your energy costs and beating the cost-of-living crisis.
Installing a clean heating system or choosing a selected energy efficient measure could give you access to up to £9,000 of government grants topped up with £7,500 of interest free loans through the Energy Savings Trust and Home Energy Scotland.
